Always growing, we are seeking an Accounting Advisor to join our team and help our clients grow their businesses!

The Accounting Advisor role requires understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals, proficiency with software, and the ability to manage your workload independently and hit deadlines. You are responsible for making sure the deliverables the customer expects are completed quickly, on budget, and meet our quality standard. Everytime.

You will work closely with the reviewing accountant in preparing everything we’ve promised the client. Make the client feel prioritized and supported by completing work in a timely and responsible fashion, working as a team, and staying on top of priorities and deadlines.

The ideal candidate has a diligent approach to work and cares about the quality of the results. You are on a path to understanding the flow of accounting transactions up to the financial statement level. You appreciate systems and processes and value efficiency and want to bring your talents to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle bookkeeping, A/P, A/R, journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.
• Preparation and filing of T Slips and GST Returns
• Building relationships with clients based on accountabilities and support
• Developing efficiencies through the effective use of technology

Qualifications

• Good understanding of accrual accounting and experience using the Invoicing, AR, Payables and Bank Rec modules in cloud accounting software (Xero or QBO)
• Ability to complete a Trial Balance with all accounts reconciled to supporting documents
• Experience solving problems and getting to the correct numbers for key accounts like: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Remittances, GST calculations, Shareholder Loans, Dividends, and profit margins
• Experience with customer service and client interactions
